As always, great crowds and lots of new trends in the world of two wheels

This year Eurobike was held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from August 30th to September 2nd. The number one trade fair in the world has become a fantastic show offering sector specialists, the greater public and cycling fans a 360° view of what’s going on in the world of two wheels, including innovations, new products and new trends.

Sidiis a world leader in the sector of cycling shoes, so naturally we couldn’t miss it. At the stand for Sidi’s German distributor visitors could get their hands on and get a closer look at all the new items and top-of-the-line models for 2018 offered by the company from Maser (Treviso).

The Shot and Wire Carbon shoes for road cycling, together with the MTB Tiger and MTB Drako Carbon for mountain biking, have become the top models in the Sidi collection. However there are plenty of innovations when it comes to available colours and new models for him and her, in both on road and off road sectors. During the trade show Sidi received some important awards, which were highlighted by Tour Magazin choosing Sidi as the number 1 producer of cycling shoes in the world, as well as recognition from Gran Fondo Cycling Magazine, whose more than 40,000 readers nominated Sidi as “Best Brand 2017” in the “racing shoes” category.

Furthermore, the Sidi stand enjoyed lots of visits from important athletes like Germany’s Kristina Vogel, who has earned so many Olympic and World titles in her career that she is considered the Queen of track cycling.

The official numbers released by Eurobike show that this year 42.590 specialized visitors and 22.160 bicycle enthusiasts came from 101 countries to explore the stands from 1.400 exhibitors from 50 countries all over the world. There is always plenty of media buzz in the bike world, as proven by the more than 1.654 accredited journalists and bloggers attending from 39 countries.

To keep you balance and not fall over it is important to keep pedalling…never stop; this is why Eurobike has decided to renovate, and it has announced some important news for the next edition. In 2018 the format will change and the event will be anticipated, taking place from Sunday the 8th to Tuesday the 10th of July.

In the meantime the next big event for Sidi will be the CosmoBike Show, the international cycling expo that will be held in Verona (Italy) from September 15th to the 18th. Don’t miss it!

Cycling shoe sizing guide

Sidi Size Guide

*Customers switching to Sidi Shoes or from Sidi;s more than 5 years old, may not wear the same size. All Sidi's, except for winter shoes, are built on the same last, but differences in patterns and materials so keep this in mind when switching between Sidi models. Every Sidi Shoe (except triathlon models) from 2002 onwards is stamped with its size and last type (and M indicates Mega or W indicates women's), Usually on the tongue.

Standard Width is considered as a D width

Mega = EE shoe fit 4mm of extra space across the ball of the foot. If you have high-volume orthotics you may feel more comfortable in a mega shoe.

Women fits - "Women specific" shoes are a narrower and smaller version of the regular fit option. The heel and ankle areas have also been narrowed.

How do I know if its a good fit?
Some people have narrow heels, if you know this to be true we recommend getting a shoe with a heel retention device. This will allow the heel to be narrowed.

Is it too small? If you stand up with your shoes on and your toes are touching the front, your shoe is small. You don't want any toes touching the front of the shoe, this will create hot or numb toes on long rides. You want to be able to wiggle your toes a bit, but not feel like they are "sloshing around"

Tip* Try on your new Sidi Shoes with the cycling socks you normally wear

If the shoe doesn't fit? Don't worry, we offer a 1 free resize policy to make sure you are very comfortable on your bike
